01 / QUICK START

Prepare for the first drive.

Mount behind the mirror

Clean the windshield and secure the adhesive mount without obstructing your view. Wait at least 20 minutes before attaching the camera.

Insert the memory card

The V1 Gen 3 guide supports Class 10 / UHS-I or faster microSD up to 256GB. Power off before inserting or removing the card.

Format in the camera

Connect the supplied power cable, press REC to stop recording, then MENU twice for System Settings. Use REC/MIC to select Format and OK to confirm. Formatting erases files; back up first.

Confirm the version. Use the V1 3rd Generation guide linked below, not the newer V1-4K guide. An external GPS Logger is optional; this model does not support a rear camera.
02 / WI-FI & PLAYBACK

Your footage, within reach.

Enable Wi-Fi

Stop recording with REC, then hold OK. Connect your phone to the network and password shown on the camera.

Legacy app instructions

The 2018 guide names TimaCam and its Recorder control. Current availability is unconfirmed; ask Rexing if you cannot find it. For live preview, the guide requires 1440p or lower.

Camera playback

Use MODE for Playback, REC/MIC to browse and OK to play or pause. You can also copy recordings through a card reader or Mini-USB data cable.

Optional GPS: the model supports an external GPS Logger, sold separately. Confirm the accessory for V1 Gen 3 rather than selecting one by a similar camera name.
03 / PARKED POWER

Check how the camera is powered.

Power with the ignition off

The original support page specifies a power source that remains on while parked. Some vehicle sockets switch off with the engine; others stay on.

Match the hardwire kit

Have the correct harness and connector confirmed for your V1 Gen 3. Installation and parking settings depend on the camera revision and kit.

Protect the vehicle battery

Follow your exact kit’s battery-protection instructions. If its protection cuts power, the camera cannot continue recording.

Continuous external power is required. The internal battery is intended for brief backup, not all-night recording. Ask Rexing for the correct setup if your camera has no Parking Monitor option.
04 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Start with the model and symptom.

Which memory card should I use?

The official Gen 3 support page specifies Class 10 / UHS-I or higher microSD up to 256GB. Back up recordings before formatting in the camera.

How do I open Format?

Stop recording, press MENU twice and navigate with REC/MIC. Select Format and confirm with OK. Formatting removes all files.

I cannot find the legacy app

Share your camera firmware and phone operating system with Rexing. Use a card reader for file transfer while the correct app is confirmed.

Can I attach a rear camera?

The V1 Gen 3 guide marks the rear-camera port as unsupported. V1P Gen 3 is a different model.

Help us identify the version

Send the V1 Gen 3 label, firmware screen, card model and power details. This prevents instructions for another V1 generation being mixed into your setup.
