Ready for the first drive.
Secure the windshield mount
Clean and dry the windshield, apply the static cling as illustrated, then attach the adhesive mount in the correct slide direction. Wait at least 20 minutes before fitting the camera.
Connect the rear camera
Use the supplied rear-camera cable and follow the guide’s mounting diagram. Route wiring clear of airbags, controls and moving parts.
Connect vehicle power
Connect the supplied car charger to a 12V DC accessory outlet and the camera’s Mini USB port. Recording starts when power arrives. Hold Power to turn the device on manually.
Format on the touchscreen.
Choose a compatible card
Use a Class 10 / UHS-I or higher microSD card up to 256GB. Switch the camera off before inserting or removing it.
Open Storage
Back up recordings you need. Power on, open the settings screen and select Storage.
Confirm Format SD
Choose Format SD and confirm OK. This clears the card’s contents. The guide illustrates the touchscreen steps; S800 does not use the MENU-button procedure of other models.
Review your recordings.
On the touchscreen
Open Driving Video from the home screen, then the video list. Select a file to play it and use the playback controls to move through the clip.
Back up important clips
Power the camera off before removing the card. Copy the files you need with a compatible card reader and keep a separate backup.
Original Smart Connect workflow
The S800 guide uses CarAssist and a device QR code for binding. App and connected-service availability should be confirmed for this legacy model before setup; ask Rexing support if the QR workflow no longer works.

The card does not record correctly
Check the card’s rating and capacity, then back up needed files and format using Storage → Format SD. Share the exact error message with support if the issue persists.
Which app does the original guide use?
CarAssist is named in the S800 quick-start guide. Do not follow another camera’s Rexing Connect pairing steps. Contact support to confirm current app or service availability.
