Check the model.
Read the model label and identify the camera’s power connector. A connector that fits does not, by itself, confirm power or parking-mode compatibility.
Read the kit label.
Match its version, electrical ratings and wiring instructions. Smart, Intelligent and other Rexing kits can use different connections and parking settings.
Confirm the installation.
Use the vehicle documentation to identify the fuse type and suitable connection points. Have a qualified installer verify uncertain circuits or wiring.

Different jobs.
Use a circuit tester and the vehicle’s fuse information to identify how a circuit behaves. Follow the labels and instructions supplied with your exact kit.
A switched circuit supplies power with the ignition on and loses power when the vehicle switches that circuit off.
A constant circuit remains powered with the ignition off. Whether and how to use it depends on the kit and the required recording behavior.
Use a secure, verified chassis ground with good metal-to-metal contact. Plastic, paint or an isolated metal part is not a reliable ground.
Follow the kit labels, not a universal wire-color rule.
Connection counts and wire colors vary. The original installation sheet is an overview, not a vehicle-specific fuse map. Confirm the correct fuse adapter, rating and orientation for your installation.

- Verify normal recording.With the vehicle on, confirm the camera receives power and saves a playable recording.
- Check the ignition-off behavior.Confirm that power and recording behave as expected for the chosen circuit, kit and camera settings.
- Confirm any parking feature.Use the camera and kit instructions to test the supported parking function. Hardwiring alone does not establish compatibility or enable every parking mode.
- Inspect the finished route.Secure loose wiring and confirm it does not obstruct your view, controls or airbag areas.
Power is one part
of parking mode.
The camera, kit and selected settings must work together. Do not assume the same Parking Mode setting applies to every Rexing setup.
If your kit includes low-voltage protection, a battery cutoff can stop camera power and interrupt parked recording. Check that kit’s cutoff and recovery instructions rather than assuming a camera fault.

Which fuse should I use?
Use your vehicle documentation and a circuit tester to identify an appropriate circuit. An ignition-switched circuit loses power when the vehicle is off; a constant circuit remains powered. The correct choice depends on your kit and intended use. A qualified installer should confirm the fuse location, fuse rating and adapter orientation.
Where should the ground wire connect?
Use a secure, verified chassis ground point with good metal-to-metal contact. Plastic, painted surfaces and isolated metal pieces are not reliable grounds. Have an installer check the connection if you are unsure.
Why does the camera turn off when I park?
An ignition-switched supply turns off with the vehicle. This can be normal for that installation. Supported parked recording needs the correct kit, power connection and camera settings. Do not move the connection to constant power without confirming those requirements.
Will hardwiring automatically enable parking mode?
No. Supplying power and enabling a particular parking mode are separate requirements. Camera model, kit version and settings all matter. Follow the instructions for your exact combination; do not assume every kit uses the same Parking Mode setting.
Why does the camera remain on after the ignition is off?
A constant-power circuit remains live with the ignition off. Check that this matches the intended installation and your kit instructions. If the behavior is unexpected, have the installer verify the circuit and kit before leaving the vehicle parked.
Can battery protection stop parked recording?
On a kit equipped with low-voltage protection, reaching its cutoff can stop power to the camera and interrupt parking recording. The cutoff and recovery behavior depend on the exact kit. This page does not specify a universal cutoff voltage; check the kit instructions and vehicle battery condition.
The camera works with its car charger but not the hardwire kit. What should I check?
Have the installer check the selected fuse circuit, fuse condition, adapter fit and orientation, ground connection and the kit’s output connector. If the kit has battery protection, check whether it has cut power. Send Rexing the camera model and kit label if the issue continues.
