Know the buttons

POWER

Hold for three seconds to turn the device on or off.

MODE

Switch between Photo, Video and Playback.

SHOT

Take a photo or start/stop video. In playback, press to play or pause.

01 / FIRST USE

Prepare batteries and storage.

Install the correct batteries

Install five AA 1.5V LR6 batteries. Observe the polarity markings and turn power off before changing batteries. Use matching batteries; do not mix old and new batteries or different types.

Prepare the memory card

Insert a microSD card up to 32GB with the device off. Back up files before formatting. In Photo or Video mode, open MENU → Format and confirm only after saving needed recordings.

Focus on your subject

Rotate the manual-focus lens until the subject is clear. Hold IR UP / IR DOWN for digital zoom; use MODE to select capture type and SHOT to record. Recording stops when the card is full.

02 / NIGHT VISION

Adjust illumination to the scene.

Enable infrared

In Photo or Video mode, briefly press IR UP to activate infrared lighting. The view changes to black and white. Short presses of IR UP / DOWN adjust the seven brightness levels.

Low battery limits IR

The guide reduces available IR levels as battery power falls. Below about 25% remaining power, IR may not activate. Replace batteries before assuming the night-vision light has failed.

Recorded sound

This model’s guide states video files have no sound. Silent playback is expected and is not a microphone setting problem.

03 / RECORDINGS

Review and copy what you captured.

Playback on the device

Press MODE for Playback, browse with UP / DOWN and press SHOT to play or pause. MENU stops playback and opens file lock/delete options.

Transfer to a computer

Connect using the supplied Micro-USB data cable; the screen shows MSDC and the computer exposes a removable drive. Copy recordings from DCIM. You can also use a card reader with the device powered off.

Protect important files

Copy files before deleting or formatting. Format erases all files, including protected recordings. Locking a file does not protect it from formatting.

04 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Check the basics before resetting.

Blurry view

Refocus the lens for the subject distance and clean the lens gently. Adjust IR brightness at night and try less digital zoom.

Turns off while idle

Check batteries and MENU → Power Save. The guide offers 3, 5 or 10 minutes, or OFF.

No recording or computer access

Check the card is inserted and not full. Preserve files, test a supported card and use a data-capable cable. Send Support the model and firmware version if the issue continues.
