CPW / AIBox Connection Guide
Follow this general setup sequence to connect a CarPlay / Android Auto USB adapter to your vehicle and pair your phone. Complete the steps in order while your vehicle is safely parked.
PHASE 1 · STEPS 1–3
Initial preparation & unpairing

Enable Airplane Mode on your phone
Turn on Airplane Mode before setup to prevent automatic connections to the vehicle’s infotainment system.

Open the vehicle’s device settings
Start your vehicle and navigate to the infotainment system’s device management settings.

Remove previous phone and vehicle pairings
If your phone appears in the car’s saved device list, remove or forget your phone. On your phone, also forget the vehicle’s saved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. Keep CarPlay and Android Auto disconnected until Phase 3.
PHASE 2 · STEP 4
Hardware installation

Connect the USB adapter
Connect the CarPlay / Android Auto adapter to the vehicle’s USB port. Accept the permission prompt on the infotainment system to connect with the USB adapter.
If it does not connect automatically: open the vehicle’s device list, remove your phone’s previous entry if it is still present, and select the adapter’s name. Select the adapter, not your phone’s Bluetooth name.
PHASE 3 · STEP 5
System configuration

Disable Airplane Mode and pair your phone
Turn off Airplane Mode on your phone, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete CarPlay or Android Auto pairing.
If the CarPlay / Android Auto home screen does not appear after connection: turn off your vehicle, wait 15 seconds, then start the vehicle again.
After setup
Once pairing is complete, leave Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled for automatic reconnection. Apple CarPlay is for iPhone; Android Auto is for Android phones.
Android Auto still will not connect?
- Temporarily turn off VPN, mobile hotspot and Wi-Fi sharing.
- Update Android Auto, Google Play services and your Android operating system.
- Check Android Auto permissions and keep the phone unlocked while pairing.
- Turn off Bluetooth on other previously paired phones in the vehicle.
- If you need to clear saved pairings and start over, repeat the setup from Phase 1.
Menu names vary by phone manufacturer. Use the phone’s Settings search if needed.

Phase 1: Initial Preparation & Unpairing

Enable Airplane Mode on your mobile phone prior to setup to prevent automatic connections to the infotainment system.

Start your vehicle and navigate to the infotainment system's device management settings.

Remove (forget) your phone from the car's device list, and remove the vehicle from your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi paired lists if your phone name is in the device name. Do not allow any carplay/android auto connection.
Phase 2: Hardware Installation

Connect the CarPlay / Android Auto adapter to the vehicle's USB port.
Grant permission for the infotainment system to connect with the USB adapter. Note: If connection does not occur automatically, open the device list, clear your phone's prior entry, and select the "SmartBox_xxxx" option rather than your phone's Bluetooth designation.

Securely mount the baby camera and attach its power cable.
Phase 3: Camera & System Configuration

From the main menu, select "DVR".

Establish a connection to the network BCCA1_XXXXXX using password 12345678, then confirm that the live camera stream is active.

Navigate back to the main menu, open Settings, and adjust the DVR display layout to either Picture-in-Picture (PIP) or Split View.

Return to the main menu and choose "CP/AA".

Disable Airplane Mode on your phone, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the CarPlay or Android Auto pairing. If the Carplay/ Android auto main screen is not shown after connection, you may turn off your car, wait for 15 seconds, then turn on your car again.
