Stop. Set. Confirm.

Use these camera buttons while parked.

REC

Stop recording before changing settings.

MENU × 2

Open System Settings.

OK

Confirm a selection or play a video.

01 / QUICK START

Prepare for the first drive.

Mount behind the mirror

Clean and dry the windshield, orient the adhesive mount as shown in the guide and wait at least 20 minutes before attaching the camera. Keep the driver’s view clear.

Insert the memory card

The V1 Max guide supports Class 10 / UHS-I or faster microSD up to 256GB. Power off before inserting or removing the card.

Format in the camera

Connect the supplied power cable, press REC to stop recording, then MENU twice for System Settings. Use REC/MIC to select Format and OK to confirm. Formatting erases files; back up first.

Confirm the version. This page follows the May 2022 V1 Max guide. V1P Max is a different model; the rear-camera port illustrated for V1 Max is not supported.
02 / APP & PLAYBACK

Connect nearby. Keep important footage.

Enable Wi-Fi in settings

Stop recording and press MENU twice for System Settings. Set Wi-Fi On. Find the SSID under System Settings → About.

Join and open the app

Join the camera’s SSID on your phone. The guide lists the default password 12345678. Open Rexing Connect and tap Connect for live view and saved recordings.

Emergency recording

Press OK/EMR to save and lock an emergency video. The guide describes a 20-second EMR clip. Back up important locked recordings separately.

Playback on the camera

Stop recording and hold MENU/MODE to change mode. In Playback, browse with REC/MIC and press OK to play or pause.

Copy to a computer

Use a card reader or the supplied USB data cable and select Mass Storage. Normal videos are in Front_xxx folders; locked clips are in front_emr.

03 / GPS & POWER

Check the signal and the supply.

Built-in GPS

The guide identifies built-in GPS. The camera searches for a signal after power-on and records driving speed/location when the signal is active.

Choose speed units

Press MENU twice for System Settings and select the preferred GPS Speed Unit. Check the GPS icon to confirm signal acquisition.

Parked power setup

Follow the exact camera revision and compatible power-kit guide. A vehicle socket may lose power when the ignition is off; do not assume it provides parked recording power.

Battery protection matters. If a compatible kit cuts power to protect the vehicle battery, the camera cannot record parking events. Confirm the documented parking settings and kit model with Rexing.
04 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Use the V1 Max controls.

How do I switch modes?

Stop recording first. The V1 Max combines MENU and MODE in one button; hold it to change mode rather than looking for the separate MODE key on older V1 cameras.

Where are the locked files?

The guide places emergency recordings in the front_emr folder. Copy needed clips before formatting or deleting files.

Wi-Fi connects but there is no internet

The camera network is a local connection for Rexing Connect. Stay on that SSID and tap Connect in the app.

Can I connect a rear camera?

The V1 Max guide labels the rear-camera port as unsupported. V1P Max has a different guide and configuration.

Send the complete setup

Include V1 Max model/firmware, memory-card details, power source and a photo of any warning or GPS icon.
