01 / QUICK START

Mount securely. Power correctly.

Choose the mounting position

Clean and dry the dashboard or windshield. Fit the supplied mount without obstructing your view or vehicle controls.

Secure the cable

Route the power cable clear of airbags, controls and moving parts. Check the mounting position and screen angle while parked.

Use the supplied charger

Connect its Type-C end to the display and the cigarette-lighter plug to the vehicle socket. Complete setup while parked before driving.

02 / PHONE CONNECTION

Your phone. A larger view.

Apple CarPlay

Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your iPhone. Pair with the display’s Bluetooth name, shown in the guide as T86B-XXX, and accept Use CarPlay when prompted.

Android Auto

Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on a compatible Android phone. Pair with the display’s Bluetooth name and complete the phone’s connection prompts.

Select audio output

Open Audio Output and choose the available speaker, BT Audio, FM or AUX option. For FM, match the display and vehicle radio to the same clear frequency.

Use the name shown on your display. The suffix identifies your own unit. CarPlay, Android Auto, AirPlay and Android Cast are separate modes. Choose the function you want on the display.
03 / MEDIA & MIRRORING

Choose the way you want to play.

AirPlay on iPhone

Select AirPlay. Join the CARLINK network shown on the display using its displayed password, then choose SmartScreen in iPhone Control Center → Screen Mirroring.

Android Cast

Select Android Cast and follow the on-screen QR instructions for TcLink. In the app, choose Wi-Fi Direct and the display’s CARLINK device. Review the phone’s casting prompt before starting.

Play from a memory card

Open Media Player to choose music or video stored on the card. The guide lists MP3/WAV audio and H.264 video in MP4, MOV, TS or F4V containers.

Watch video only while safely parked. Keep your attention on the road when driving. Phone casting can display private notifications and other screen content.
04 / TROUBLESHOOTING

A clearer next step.

CarPlay or Android Auto will not connect

Check Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allow the first connection time to finish, then restart the phone if needed. For CarPlay, remove the old vehicle pairing in iPhone Settings → General → CarPlay, enable Siri and reconnect. For Android Auto, update the relevant apps and disable VPN while testing.

Bluetooth music is not playing

Select Bluetooth Music on the display, then pair with the Bluetooth name it shows. This playback function uses its own mode; the guide notes that other casting modes do not provide Bluetooth Music playback.

The display goes dark

A screen saver can turn the screen off. Press Power to wake it. If the unit has no power, check the supplied charger, vehicle outlet and charger fuse before contacting support.

Find your firmware version

Open Settings → Firmware Version. Send that version, your model label and a photo or short video of the issue to Rexing support.
