01 / A good first start

Ready before you drive.

Set up while parked. Keep the camera and cables clear of your driving view and vehicle safety equipment.

01

Prepare the card

Use a Class 10 microSD card, 32–256GB. Back up important clips; format in the camera before first use.

02

Mount & connect

Secure the mirror, connect the rear camera and GPS module, then check every camera view.

03

Check your power

M4-4 needs external power. Use its Rexing-approved vehicle charger.

Before your first trip: Make a short test recording, play it back and confirm the timestamp. Keep an original copy of any footage you need to preserve.
02 / At your fingertips

Navigate the mirror.

A dark display does not by itself confirm that the camera has stopped recording. Check power and recording status before troubleshooting.

Switch your view

Swipe left or right between Front, Rear, Cabin and All. Swipe up or down to adjust the visible range.

Screen versus device

A short power-button press toggles the screen; hold for three seconds to switch the device on or off.

Change settings

Stop recording before opening Settings. Confirm changes, then check that recording resumes.

03 / Find the footage

Review. Save. Share.

  1. Play it on the mirrorOpen Playback and choose a recording.
  2. Keep a separate copyPower down before removing the card. On a computer, normal clips are in Video; locked clips are in event.
  3. Protect your evidenceCopy the original files before editing, sharing or formatting. Keep the date, time and camera view with your notes.
04 / When parked

Match the mode to the kit.

Identify your accessory before changing settings. Parking recording depends on the power available to the camera.

Camera parking settings

The manual specifies a Rexing Smart Hardwire Kit with Type-C for parking monitoring. Confirm your kit and wiring with support before installation.

Confirm the exact kit first

Intelligent motion detection

Motion-triggered recording requires the separately sold Rexing Intelligent Hardwire Kit with Type-C port. With that kit, turn the camera’s Parking Mode off.

Kit required • Sold separately

If parking recording stops

Check the kit’s power supply and battery-protection indicator, if present. If the kit cuts power at its low-voltage threshold, the camera cannot record until power is restored. Ask support to verify your kit and settings rather than bypassing battery protection.

05 / Solve the basics

A clearer next step.

Include your model label, firmware version and a short description of when the issue occurs.

The screen is black. What should I check?

Check the vehicle outlet, power cable and connector seating while parked. Distinguish a sleeping display from a camera without power. If the problem continues, send support a short video of the startup behavior.

I get a card error. What now?

Save accessible footage first. Record the exact error and card brand, capacity and age. Test with a suitable replacement if available. Formatting deletes recordings, so back up files before trying it.

One camera image is upside down or mirrored.

Open Channel Setting to flip or mirror each channel. Recheck orientation while parked.

Can I use firmware from a similar mirror camera?

Use only firmware confirmed for your exact model and hardware version. A similar name or appearance is not enough. Send support photos of the camera label and firmware screen before updating.

06 / Keep these handy
