Know your controls

OFF

Use this position for USB charging, computer settings and file transfer.

PHOTO / VIDEO

Select your capture mode. The first 30 seconds after power-on are a test period.

RESET

If the charged camera remains unresponsive, gently press the recessed Reset button.

01 / FIRST USE

Charge, prepare, then test.

Fully charge first

Use a 5V / 1A USB adapter and the Micro-USB port with the switch OFF. The guide allows about 20 hours for the initial charge. The red charging indicator turns off when charging is complete.

Prepare a memory card

Use a camera-rated Class 10 / UHS-I or faster microSD card, up to 512GB. Back up recordings before formatting; formatting erases the card.

Test before mounting

Choose Photo or Video and move a hand in front of the PIR sensor during the initial 30-second test period. Check that an image or clip has been saved.

02 / COMPUTER SETUP

Set the clock and save your recordings.

Connect with the switch OFF

Connect to a PC using a data-capable Micro-USB cable. The guide describes a Camera_Config_Tool_exe utility on the device’s virtual disk; use the supplied utility for date, time and capture settings.

Format through the camera tool

After copying important files, use the tool’s Format function. Disconnect and reconnect USB afterward to refresh the card display. Save Camera Settings after changing the clock or capture options.

Copy files before card changes

Open the camera as USB mass storage or use a microSD card reader. The guide calls for formatting when reinstalling a removed card, so preserve your files before doing so.

03 / OUTDOOR SETUP

Give the panel a clear view of the sun.

Choose a suitable position

Mount securely about 1.8–2.5 metres above the ground. Keep the solar panel unshaded and the lens and PIR sensor unobstructed. Avoid positions that can flood.

Understand battery limits

Sunlight, temperature and frequent motion all affect battery life. Night lighting and repeated recording use more power; solar charging may not keep up during busy or cloudy periods.

Weather protection

The guide specifies IP54 spray-water protection. Keep ports protected and do not submerge the camera. Motion detection range also varies with ambient temperature.

04 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Start with power and storage.

Red status light flashes

Recharge first when the battery is low. If flashing persists, check that the card is inserted, usable and not full with loop capture disabled.

Motion does not save a clip

Check the selected Photo / Video mode, clean the PIR window, allow startup to finish and test the card. A sensor response without saved files can indicate a storage issue.

Computer does not detect the camera

Confirm the switch is OFF and try a known data cable or card reader. If the bundled configuration tool is missing or incompatible with your PC, contact support rather than downloading an unrelated utility.
