01 / Before you connect

Know the battery first.

Work in a ventilated area, keep sparks away and inspect the charger, leads and battery before use. Stop if the battery is damaged or frozen.

01

Check compatibility

Read the battery label and confirm voltage and chemistry with its manufacturer. Do not select a mode from appearance alone.

02

Connect before AC power

With the charger unplugged, follow the guide’s separate instructions for an installed or removed battery. Vehicle grounding changes the connection sequence.

03

Confirm the mode

Connect AC power, select the approved mode and check the indicators. Keep leads clear of moving parts and closing panels.

Disconnect carefully: Unplug AC power first, then remove the battery connections in the reverse sequence specified for your setup. See the guide’s connection diagrams before use.
02 / Match the mode

The label decides.

N1 has Standby, 12V, 12V AGM, 12V Lithium, 6V and Force modes. Confirm the correct setting before operating.

Mode changes are not a substitute for checking the battery. If its type is unclear, ask the battery manufacturer or Rexing support.

Standby

The charger is not charging in Standby; the orange Standby LED illuminates.

12V / 12V AGM

Choose the setting for the confirmed battery type. AGM has its own dedicated mode.

12V Lithium / 6V

Use only the mode approved for the battery’s voltage and chemistry. Read the model guide before selection.

Force is an advanced mode

Do not use Force to bypass an unexplained error. Review its full instructions and restrictions before considering it.

03 / Understand the signals

Read the light.
Check the battery.

Note the exact symbol, color and whether the light is steady or pulsing. That detail helps support diagnose the issue.

Pulsing red

The manual describes this as a charge level below 75%.

Green / maintenance

Green indicates the later charging stages. During maintenance, the green LED can pulse as the charger monitors the battery.

Error indicator

Use the manual’s error table to identify the symbol. A voltage mismatch requires checking the battery and selected mode.

If charging does not begin

Standby or a battery too low to detect can produce a Standby indication. Confirm battery condition and the selected mode before taking further action. Stop using the charger if anything is damaged, unusually hot or behaving unexpectedly.

04 / Common questions

A clearer next step.

For help, share the charger label, battery label, selected mode and a photo or short video of the LEDs.

Can N1 jump-start my car?

N1 is a trickle charger, not a jump starter. Use the correct equipment for the task; contact support if you are unsure which product you need.

Which mode should I choose?

Match both battery voltage and chemistry. Follow the battery manufacturer’s charging requirements and the N1 guide. Do not cycle through modes to see which one seems to work.

The charger shows an error.

Record the exact symbol and light behavior. Disconnect safely before inspecting connections. Send support the battery and charger labels and describe when the error appears.

Can I leave the charger connected for maintenance?

Follow the guide’s maintenance instructions and your battery manufacturer’s requirements. Keep the charger in a suitable location and inspect the equipment regularly. Do not leave damaged equipment in use.

05 / Keep these handy

Your N1 resources.

Still need a hand?
