VEHICLE USB
Use the vehicle’s wired CarPlay / Android Auto data port, not a charging-only port.
PHONE
Enable both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth before pairing.
INTERNET
Built-in streaming apps need a separate internet connection.
Check the vehicle before the adapter.
Verify factory support
Connect your phone directly by cable first and confirm wired CarPlay or Android Auto works. The guide notes that not every factory system is compatible; contact Support if your vehicle is uncertain.
Identify the correct model
This page follows the CPW-AB guide dated April 2026. Do not use a CPW-52 firmware file just because that model is mentioned in the guide’s copied support reference.
Connect the AI Box
Use the included Type-C to A or Type-C to C cable to connect the box to the vehicle’s data port. Allow the vehicle to recognise the adapter and load its interface.
Pair one phone at a time.
Enable phone connections
Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Select the adapter’s displayed Auto-xxxx / AutoBox Bluetooth name, rather than an unrelated device with a similar name.
Accept pairing prompts
Approve pairing and the CarPlay or Android Auto connection prompts. Allow a few seconds for connection. Disconnect the previous phone before connecting another one.
Bluetooth-only audio
Use BT Phone for Bluetooth calls and music. These standalone Bluetooth functions are unavailable while CarPlay or Android Auto is connected; disconnect projection first if you want to use BT Phone.
Network access and local files are separate.
Connect an internet network
Open Settings → Network & Internet and select a network. Built-in online apps need internet access and may require their own sign-in or subscription. Use video entertainment only while parked.
Local playback
Open Medias to select Video or Music. The guide requires a memory card for local files. Open Files to browse local images, audio, video and documents.
Ports and accessories
The Type-C port supplies power and the vehicle connection. The guide identifies a microSD slot, a USB accessory port and an HDMI output for an external display. Check your exact revision before choosing accessories.
Check the connection that failed.
Vehicle does not recognise the box
Test wired phone projection directly, then confirm you are using the same data port with the supplied cable. Send Support the car year/model and a photo of the interface if it fails.
Phone will not connect
Disconnect a previously paired phone, confirm Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled and repeat the on-screen pairing steps.
Apps open but media does not load
Check the AI Box’s internet connection separately from phone pairing. Check app account access for online media, or memory-card availability for local playback.
